Client:
K.G.M. Hospital is a Mumbai based, nationally leading Ayurvedic Hosiptal, which has two hundred beds, pathology, and X-ray dept., sonography facilities and an in-house pharmacy.

Challenge:
An integrated management system for patient records was needed. This system had to offer a multitude of functions such as inventory control, pathology dept., analysis and reporting, online reckoning of various tests, online generation of receipts, billing production of various medical and Management Information System (MIS) reports.

Solution:
In collaboration with the client Comp-Use team of four people conducted various studies, derived an integrated design, installed the system on site and trained the hospital staff in administering the system. Total project time was twelve months.

Technology applied:
Visual Basic 6.0, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 on MS Windows NT 4.0.

Result:
K.G.M. Hospital obtained a comprehensive and integrated hospital management system. The system allowed the hospital's management to run operations more cost effectively and led to better informed investment decisions, which increased the return on investment in new infrastructure and technology.
