Client:
IT Strategists Inc. is a US west-coast technology-consulting firm, which provides services to major clients in the financial and entertainment industries. The company wanted to develop a product software for one of its clients, a financial institution, which produces own financial research data. This project was outsourced to us by Mr. Ashwin Mittal, director Inditech Solutions.

Challenge:
The objective was to achieve a scalable system where internal users and clients from any part of the world should be able to access research related information, such as a company's financials and market prices, online from a centralized system and perform quantitative analysis on the data.

Solution:
A Java applet is used to extract data from the excel file, which contains a companys's research related information. Subsequently, the data is converted into an XML string and then uploaded to the server. Middle tier objects like data validation, data extraction and calculation modules are complied as COM objects. The data exchanged between these objects, as well as the data which is sent back to the client from the web server is formatted in XML.

Result:
